The crowning glory of a career as a craftsman is the training to become a master craftsman in the refrigeration plant construction trade.

As a master craftsperson you have the choice and can take over the management of departments in larger companies, train apprentices in a qualified manner or take the step towards professional independence. You take responsibility for technical and economic decisions and pass on your experience to young people. That's why the Federal College of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology not only teaches the technical side of the profession, but also the "human" aspects of the multi-faceted work of a master refrigeration installer. With us you get the tools you need to become a master craftsman.

In order to take into account the flexibility of today's working world, the Federal College offers master craftsman training in three different forms:

Starting in January (Parts III and IV - law and economics, vocational and occupational pedagogy) or in March (Parts I and II - technical practice and theory) of each calendar year, the full-time training offers a very intensive opportunity to learn the material. After the theory block from March to about the beginning of November, the theoretical master craftsman's examination takes place immediately. Subsequently, the intensive workshop practice prepares the participants for the practical examination in mid-December.

Every two years (odd year), the part-time training starts in January. For two years, participants are offered part-time master training every Friday afternoon and every Saturday full day. In addition, the training is supplemented by two full-time block weeks in the first year. The first block week takes place at the beginning of the training.
In the part-time course, the theoretical examination takes place in October of the second year of training. This is followed by a full-time phase in which workshop practice and the practical examination take place in October/November.

This training lasts approx. 1.5 years, starts every year in autumn and thus lies between full and part-time training in terms of time. Classes are held in weekly blocks from Monday to Friday (full day). (see weekly blocks)
